。It is a turbulent time at the end of the Qing Dynasty. The country is in chaos, with corruption in the imperial court and constant unrest among the people. The Tiandi Hui, an underground organization with the goal of overthrowing the Qing Dynasty, leads a rebellion against the oppressive rule. Amidst all this, a young boy named "Big Man" (played by Hao Yong) rebels against his strict parents and runs away from home.Meanwhile, a skilled martial artist and strict disciplinarian (played by Zhang Xiaoyan) becomes the wife of Big Man's father in an effort to tame the rebellious boy. However, he manages to escape her control and finds himself caught up in the Tiandi Hui's fight against the Qing Dynasty.After the Tiandi Hui's headquarters is attacked by traitors, the leader's son seeks refuge in a small town by the river, with the help of an old lady named Huang Po Po. Big Man, who had previously saved Huang Po Po, joins the Tiandi Hui and pledges to never return home. But as the Qing Dynasty sends out skilled assassins to hunt down the remaining members of the Tiandi Hui, Huang Po Po is killed, leaving the children without a protector.With nowhere else to turn, the children must rely on their own skills and resources to survive in a treacherous world.
